F is For Friend

Friendships may be very important to some students; especially during their days in High School. Whether they have lots of friends or only a select few, their friends will help them get through their daily life. Alyssa Kruczek, a senior at BHS, explains why friendship is important to her, “Friendship is important to me because friends are what make boring, everyday life special. Joking around with friends makes school more fun, and friends can help you feel better during a bad day.” It is apparent that some people would do the opposite.

Kruczek continues to describe what makes a good friend and what makes a bad friend, “A good friend will listen to you and support you while also involving you in their life. A good friend will also make an effort to talk and hang out together.” She continues, “Friends can help you get through hard times by listening to your problems and helping you come up with solutions, being a shoulder to cry on, or just joking around with you to take your mind off of it,”

Kruczek defines what a bad friend is, “A bad friend doesn’t care about what you’re doing or how you’re feeling. They only talk about themselves. A bad friend will also keep secrets from you or talk behind your back.” The friendships students make during High School may turn out to be the people they spend the rest of their lives with, or just people they spend their High School with. Whether you spend your life with your friends or just High School, students will look back on these days. Spread kindness to others so they can look back on these days and think: Those were the good old days.
