Fall Season

26jshultz1

The weather is changing from warm days to colder temperatures. I wanted to find out how people felt about it and how it has affected them. Mrs. B doesn't like the fact that she has to wear a coat and the difficulty behind picking an outfit according to the weather of that day. For Ben Marr, it's completely different. He loves fall because he gets to start his ‘’winter arc’’ and wear hoodies every day. Nathan Roberts says he doesn't like the coldness that comes with fall because he has to wear more clothes while working on his car. There are a lot of activities that come with fall, and I wanted to see what activities they enjoy. Mrs. B loves to read and bake. Every year she makes pumpkin rolls and homemade apple sauce. Ben likes to view all the beautiful nature that comes with fall. Nathan has a family tradition where they carve pumpkins and make them have cool designs.

There are a lot of changes that happen around this time; the one I noticed affected a lot of people is the time. With daylight saving, we have shorter days and longer nights; the time also goes back by an hour, which effects sleep patterns. Mrs. B is not much of a fan of it being dark out by 4:30 pm, and with daylight saving it messes up her sleep schedule, taking her a while to readjust to the change. Ben likes that it gets darker quicker because it's more relaxing for him while also allowing him to go to bed at an earlier time. Nathan hates the dark; it effects how long he can work on his car in the natural sunlight. Nate feels he can't sleep as easily in the fall compared to the summer or spring because of the coldness.

The fall change can cause a lot of changes to a person, but the most common are sickness and mental health issues. Mrs. B said that of all the seasons, fall causes her the most problems. She noticed that she has a lot more joint pain and allergies that take a long time to go away. Ben just dislikes the fact he gets sick easier from all the pollen. Nathan noticed a dip in his mood because of the lack of sunlight.

At home, changes have to happen to make the transition from summer to fall. These are some changes people make. Mrs. B starts off by putting all her summer furniture away and turning the heat on to get all cozy in her house on the cold days. Nathan and his family decorate the outside of their house and hang the pumpkins that they carved together. I hope this article gave you more insight on how people are affected by fall and what changes they have to make to their everyday lives.
