Why do people like fall so much? What is interesting about the fall season and what is appealing about it? Fall is a very loved season by many people. As soon as September rolls around, all the pumpkin spice comes out, cozy clothes are being worn, and everyone is ready for the fall festivities. Many people gravitate towards fall and claim that it is the best out of the four seasons. There are many things that play into their love for it and why they gravitate towards the season of change.
“Fall is the perfect mix of everything.” As someone who loves fall, Lola Leiby enjoys all the aspects of the season. She mentions how it is her favorite season and would appreciate it if it was all year round. She looks forward to the comforting vibe and feels the weather is the perfect mix between hot and cold. She enjoys the scenery of the leaves changing colors and the critters that come out when the season switches. With pumpkin spice coming back out, she is partial to pumpkin roll and it adds to her love for the season. The sun going down earlier is another thing she values because she favors the evenings. Although she likes having the four seasons, fall is the one she thrives in. When asked why others might have strong opinions on certain seasons Leiby explained, "They are biased to the month they are born in."
As a person, Bella Pistoia enjoys fall because of numerous things. “I like fall because the leaves are turning, it’s cold and I like pumpkins too. I like everything pumpkin spice.” With a liking for fall Bella enjoys the things that come with it like hay rides, haunted houses, carving pumpkins, going on hikes, pumpkin pies, pumpkin chai lattes from Starbucks, and Halloween. “Halloween is my favorite holiday because you get to dress up and get candy.” Getting candy and dressing up in costumes is her favorite part about Halloween. She would not take another season over fall but she does love ski season and summer occasionally. Along with that, Bella thinks the cold is abrupt as the fall season starts, but to her it fits the description of fall.
“...I wish we could stay in fall and skip winter altogether, so I think it’s better than winter, but not better than spring or summer. ” Mrs. Zwalkuski considers fall one of her favorite seasons, but it doesn't quite compare to spring or summer for her. She would take fall over winter, but likes when all the flowers are blooming and everything is lively. She enjoys fall because the weather cools off from summer and she gets to start decorating for the season. Another aspect she looks forward to in the fall is fair week and for her, it doesn't feel like fall until the fair comes. One thing she does not care for in the fall season is pumpkin flavored drinks, like pumpkin spice lattes and other festive drinks. She likes pumpkin foods, but would prefer something like apple cider over pumpkin. So while she enjoys fall and looks forward to it, spring and summer remain her top seasons.
Fall is considered an exciting time of the year for many people. The weather cools down, festive treats are brought back, and leaves start to change colors. Numerous things that come with fall like pumpkin desserts and drinks, carving pumpkins, and Halloween add to the enjoyment of fall. With this, people learn to love fall and may see it as the best season. Fall is a top season in many peoples’ opinion and continues to be a popular season appreciated by many.
