With the new Bloomsburg High School- or Bloomsburg Secondary complex depending on who you ask- in sight, along with the winter weather, how will the two mix? How long until we have a new source of Panther Pride, and how will a Pennsylvanian winter factor in?
“As they complete new sections, such as the ELC and new Central office, they also put in new heating elements” Said Mr. Manley. “ There was that awkward time with the ELC since they were working on finishing outer section so it did get a little chilly in the breezeway.” With a new wall in the breezeway, the cold factor should be lessened, but may not be gone completely until that room can be heated. “The ELC will be completed for January 2nd. We should be ready to go at full capacity!” He said, rather excitedly, claiming that “everything” will be completed during the winter months. “So far, everything has been awesome. Any issues that have come up were minor and within reason with a project of this scope. We are very pleased.”
According to Mr. Manley, the Central Office- the joint office between the Middle School and High School wings- will be opening during winter. This means no more travelling all the way down to the Middle School when you get called down to the office. The new office is located near the middle school gym, and can also be accessed from the outside of the school.
We are still on track for planned construction. “Speaking of track,” Said Mr. Manley, “We are actually ahead on many of the outside and inside projects (like painting the track)...Most of work that would be disrupted by snow has been completed.”
A reinvigorated Bloomsburg High School is in sight! A new school for the new year!
