If you live in Pennsylvania, no doubt you've noticed the erratic weather conditions. This has made it so Bloomsburg was given some snow days and delays due to the weather. Weirdly snow days are an oddly controversial topic amongst us all. Not everyone enjoys having to stay home, others love not having to go to school due to the weather.
In regards to snow days, Michael Lopez feels very strongly. It's sometimes nice to not go to school but in general the most he might do on a snow day is lay in bed, and maybe shovel. “Snow days feel unproductive because even if I have schoolwork, I'll just be on a game all day at home.” Michael said. This is something many students may relate to, as many of us find it difficult to stay motivated and productive. Especially without the environment of being in school to get your work done.
However on the other hand we have Logan VanSant, a lover of snow days. Usually something Logan likes to do on snow days would be making breakfast for him and his mother. “The way the recent weather has affected me is basically just throwing my style out of whack with the big coat my mom forces me to wear because it's been so cold outside.” Logan complained. For Logan, the con to having a snow day would be not taking that opportunity to catch up on school work because “I'm not motivated to.”
In conclusion, the majority of students find it difficult to stay motivated and keep up with schoolwork already, let alone when we are expected to do our work when we are not at school. This can create feelings of frustration and makes the student feel unproductive, commonly resulting in work still not getting done. Having an occasional day off is very beneficial. Snow days especially provide a free day to recharge. This is good for both the mind and body. Its easy to stress over school when there is daily pressure.
